One very revealing statistic is that since 1962, the trophy has been swaped hands between an European and a South American country every 4 years. And when you add that no northern hemisphere team has ever won in the southern hemisphere, the history tells us there is a pretty good chance a team from South American will win the cup this year.
So between Brazil ( +450 ) and Argentina ( +650 ), it's easy to pick Brazil since I don't like the vibes God a.k.a Maradona is sending to the team, not picking Cambiasso, winner of the Champions League cup and most valuable player is an absolute outrage. Let's say a star player taking on management has never been a big success story. Just asked Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky.
So you use Brazil as a security blanket, that means whatever amount you wanna bet on the world cup, you securize it by betting the same total winning on the Brazil.
Let say i wanna bet 200 bucks on other stuff, i'm gonna bet 50 bucks on Brazil so I even things out and the other bets fells like house money :)

England could be a good choice but the one team that is really interesting to take considering the odds are Italy.
They are the defending champion, they brought back the wall of Berlin who allowed 2 goals in the entire tourney last cup ( Buffon, Cannavaro and Gattuso ) with the same coach. They got good offensive talents, Gilardino and Di Natale ( top goal scorer in Italia A league ). I really like them, I mean REALLY like them
